Butch Planck Walter Jay “Butch” Planck, 74, of Nashville, MI, died Saturday, January 15th. Walter Planck was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on September 30, 1947. He grew up in Barry County and went to Maple Valley Schools. Kerrie (Taylor) Planck was his wife. Butch and Kerrie married on November 4, 2017. Butch and Kerrie settled in Nashville, where they could see Thornapple Lake from their front yard.

Butch worked as a mechanic for most of his career, specialised in tiny engines. In 2005, he launched Walt’s Small Engine Repair in his workshop. Butch like to fish on Thornapple Lake in the summer. He and Kerrie typically spent a day catching Blue Gill together. A successful day of pan fishing usually ends with a family fish fry at the campsite! Butch was also a skilled pool player who was always found at a pool table! For many years he taught pool and competed in leagues at the Ole Town Tavern in Hastings and the Blarney Stone in Yankee Springs.

The survivors include his beloved wife Kerrie, daughters Lisa (Shane) Bergquist Tracey (Kirk) Andrews, son Scott (Amy) Planck, son Randy (Eva) Planck, Joedy (Carrie) Planck, Lacey (Gabe) Beam Sisters James (Heidi) Strimback si, Brooke (Kyle) Rose, Keischa Strimback, 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Butch had 7 brothers and 1 sister before him. In the spring, a life celebration will occur. The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville, MI is handling the arrangements.
