Who is Nina Dobrev?

Nina Dobrev is a Canadian actress, known for her role in the supernatural series Vampire diaries’ from 2009-2015. Before appearing in her breakout role as Mia Jones in Degrassi: the next generation, she did some minor roles in some movies. While After that, she gained recognition as Elena Gilbert from Vampire Diaries and appeared in many movies later like let’s be cops (her comedy movie), Flatliners her science fiction drama, and the final girls. She got fame in several other movies like Return of Xander cage and after he got the leading roles in rom coms Dog days, a sitcom Fam, other movies like love hard, and then came you.

Nina Dobrev supports many charity agencies like Puma 2011, and Hunger bites (the organization which helps in reducing hunger in Pennsylvania’s seven districts). She also has the ambassadorship of the WE movement which is a charity-based movement that empowers the youth of Canada. She is quite an activist and plays her part in social welfare. Not only this, but she also joined the ‘me to we movement that assists in building schools in Kenya.

Nina prefers to do the workout while listening to music because she told it keeps her active. In an interview, she wrote about his eating habit and that she prefers to eat meals in small portions rather than three meals on the full day. The physical trainer of Nina, Steve Moyer, stated about Nina Dobrev’s workout routine that she prefers the full body (inner and outer thighs) and core workout.

Nina Dobrev’s workout routine takes about 5 to 6 days a week, and her main focus is on strength, coordination, balance, and endurance. Strength training, HIIT cardio, weight training, and yoga are the core routine of Nina Dobrev’s workout. But she also says that the workout routine has changed a lot through all these passing years and it’s quite good because it makes me feel good and fresh.

Nina is very passionate about the gym, as she almost spends 4+ hours in the gym a day. As an actress, and having a busy schedule of work, Nina prefers to work out early in the morning to stay fit and healthy, no matter how tired she is from the tough night routine, she must wake up early for the workout.

She switches her workout exercises in a while, like shifting exercises like cardio, strength training, and flexibility. She says that she used to feel skinny earlier but the addition of strength training, it changing her body a lot.

Yoga and cardio:

Nina Dobrev loves to do yoga as a workout and she feels like it rejuvenates her body and makes her feel alive during the whole day. Besides that yoga exercise makes a significant focus on our body. And Nina loves to do that. As well as, yoga improves the posture of the body and maintains flexibility for her, as she needs it the most because of her acting profession, where she needs it the most.

About Running, she thinks that it improves her heart muscles and helps in the burning of fats. This cardio exercise is very beneficial. Besides that, she is fond of other types of cardio like swimming, cycling, etc. including volleyball. Nina Dobrev has a volleyball court in her set so that she can play volleyball in her free time. She also loves to do boxing because it is an incredible exercise and helps in relieving stress. She prefers boxing once a week.

Day 1: Monday – lower body

Warm-up: treadmill (10-15 minutes)

Workout: Leg day

  • Walking lunges (3 sets, 20 reps)
  • Squats (3 sets, 15 reps)
  • Lunges (3 sets, 15 reps)
  • Reverse lunges (3 sets, 20 reps)
  • Jump lunges (3 sets, 12 reps)
  • Medical ball walk (3 sets, 20 reps)

Day 2: Tuesday – HIIT training

Warm-up: treadmill (10 minutes)

Workout: Training Routine

  • Treadmill sprints (1 minute)
  • Walking (1 minute)

She repeats this for 15-20 minutes.

Or she prefers

  • Cycling (1 minute at RPM of 50 jogs)
  • Cycling (1 minute at RPM of 100 plus sprints)

Day 3: Wednesday – Yoga (15 minutes)

  • Low lunges (first on one leg then on the other)
  • Cat cow (then cat pose)
  • High lunge to waist (first hold 5-6 breaths and then change the leg)
  • Downward dog (holds 5-6 breaths)
  • Plank (30 sec)
  • Side stretch (
  • Tree pose (hold 5-6 gasps)

Day 4: Thursday – Upper body

Warm-up: treadmill (15 minutes)

Upper body workout:

  • Lat pulldown (3 sets, 15 reps)
  • Dumbbell curls (3 sets, 20 reps)
  • Dumbbell bench-press (3 sets, 15 reps)
  • Arnold press (3 sets, 10 reps)
  • Pec deck fly (3 sets, 12 reps)
  • Dumbbell rows (3 sets, 10 reps)

Day 5: Friday – Boxing

Warm-up: jump rope (3 minutes)

Boxing Workout:

In her boxing routine, jab, double jab, cross, hook, bob, and Bicycle crunches, are included. She switches these up and does the cardio finish after that.

Day 6: Saturday – Core strength training

Warm-up: treadmill (jogging for 10 minutes)

Workout:

  • Bicycle ab crunches (3 sets, 20 reps)
  • Push-ups (3 sets, 10 reps)
  • Leg raises (3 sets, 10 reps)
  • Planks (30-sec hold)
  • V-ups (3 sets, 12 reps)
  • Glute bridges (3 sets, 20 reps)
  • Side planks (30-sec hold)

Sunday is the rest day of Nina Dobrev’s workout routine.

Nina Dobrev’s Diet plan

Nina doesn’t like to fill herself up with 3 meals a day but prefers to eat food in small chunks. Nina is very serious and passionate about her workout routine and diet plan, and she strictly follows all the instructions from the trainer. However, in her diet plan, vegan and low-carb food is included.  She has full control and keeps measurements on her diet as well.

Fats and proteins are less in her diet but carbs are all that she can rely on. And like to eat wholesome food, grains, and natural products rather than processed ones. The proteins that Nina gets are in the form of chicken, fish, seeds, and nuts, also avocados, cheese, olive oil, and other carbs like sweet potatoes. For a refresher, juices are her likable drink.

 

Breakfast:

Fruits, green smoothies, and coconut butter are included in her breakfast routine of Nina Dobrev.

Snacks:

Nina eats food in chunks means in small portions so she keeps snacks with herself like fruits and nuts. These snacks don’t make her feel hungry.

Lunch:

Fish, avocados, and green vegetables are included in her lunch. As a lover of cooking, she sometimes made herself food. Her friends and she together made meals for themselves, which they think is quite a good activity.

Dinner:

For Dinner, she likes roast chicken, rice, cheese, and sweet potatoes.
