On Saturday afternoon, the Limerick Fire and Rescue Service responded to a home fire in Limerick city.
Three Mulgrave Street units responded after getting a call at 3.05pm about a fire in a Farranshone residence. Neighbors reported seeing considerable smoke pouring from the house.
Firefighters put out the fire and secured the property before returning to base around 4.30 p.m. Garda Forensic officers also responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. However, it is thought that no wrongdoing is suspected.
The house suffered extensive damage, but no one was injured.
