Hafthor Bjornsson Weight Loss

Thor Bjornsson lost 50kg for his exhibition fight against Devon Larratt.

Bjornsson was scheduled to fight Eddie Hall in “The Heaviest Boxing Match in History” on September 18, but Hall tore his bicep during sparring and had to withdraw.

Thor will fight Devon Larratt, a 46-year-old Canadian arm wrestling champion with no combat sports experience, in September.

Bjornsson tweeted: “Onward! The September 18th fight is confirmed! Larratt Good luck—you’ll need it!”

Responded Larratt: “I can’t say no. Thanks, Thor and Core Sports. Lincoln hawk becomes Rocky in five weeks.”

His social media photos show a 50kg weight loss. Bjornsson ate 10,000 calories a day while training for strongman events; he’s now eating 4,000 to lose weight for his fight.

Bjornsson has two exhibition fights while Larratt has none.

In January, he fought Steven Ward and in May, Simon Vallely. Both Dubai fights were draws. Ward, a 13-1 pro, praised Bjornsson’s skills.
