GUNNED DOWN Brit doctor, 31, killed by stray bullet fired ‘recklessly’ by neighbour as he lay in his bed

A 31-year-old BRIT doctor was killed by a stray bullet fired “recklessly” by a neighbour as he slept in his bed, according to police.

Dr Matthew Wilson was on a family vacation in Georgia, USA, when he was fatally shot in the head by a member of the public.
The 31-year-old man from Surrey was killed when a stray bullet fired from a nearby building block struck him in the head while he was sleeping, according to Brookhaven police.

In their view, the doctor did not appear to have been specifically targeted, and the firearm had been discharged “recklessly” by next-door neighbours who were watching the doctor.

Matthew was on his way to see family in Brookhaven, Atlanta, when the gunshot took place, killing him instantly.

According to 11Alive News, Brookhaven police received multiple complaints reporting shots being fired from an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Clairmont Road about 2 a.m. on Sunday. The apartment building is located in the 3100 block of Clairmont Road.

When they arrived at Matthew’s flat, they discovered him suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head.
