BREAKING Man dies in Limerick City road accident

A 26-year-old man died today when his motorcycle crashed with a wall and a metal fence in the Southill district of Limerick City. The accident occurred this afternoon.

At the scene, he was pronounced dead, and his corpse was transported to the mortuary at University Hospital Limerick (UHL), where a post-mortem examination will be performed.

Emergency services were called to the site in O’Malley Park just after 1pm, and the area was then roped off to allow for an investigation by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Garda at Roxboro Road are conducting an investigation and are looking for witnesses, particularly anyone who may have dash cam video footage, to contact them on 061 214340 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 for further information.
