Scott Parker was fired by Bournemouth following Saturday’s 9-0 loss to Liverpool.
In his first season, Parker led the Cherries to promotion from the Championship in his first season, and they beat Aston Villa 2-0 on an opening day.
Bournemouth has since lost to Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, conceding 16 goals.
Maxim Demin, the club’s co-owner, thanked Scott and his team for their work. Last season’s promotion to the Premier League under his leadership was one of our most successful.
To progress as a team and club, we must be aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably.
“We must have mutual faith and respect. This approach has brought this club recent success, and we won’t change it.
“We’ll start looking for a coach immediately.”
He will have Gary O’Neil, Shaun Cooper, and Tommy Elphick to assist him for Wednesday’s game against the Wolves.
Demin’s comments appear to be a response to Parker’s post-match interview at Anfield.
Parker was “not surprised” by the result and said his team was “underequipped” for the Premier League.
Parker said after Saturday’s loss, “The players need help.” Today was difficult. large levels
“Our club must decide. This will happen. When? It’s humbling and a huge disappointment.
“We have some days where we hope to get help for the championship-winning team.”
